    H.R. 998 - SCRUB Act H.R. 998 creates an independent commission to recommend to Congress regulations that should be repealed to benefit the economy. Burdensome regulations have increased business costs, and led to lower levels of workplace participation. The SCRUB Act, which passed with bipartisan support, will increase economic growth by removing regulations that are shown to be duplicative and unnecessary. I voted in favor.     H.R. 79 - HALOS Act H.R. 79, the Helping Angels Lead Our Startups (HALOS) Act, is an important piece of legislation that makes capital more accessible to startups. I voted for this legislation because early access to capital is one of the most critical components to the long-term success of a small business.
