Today the United States House of Representatives voted on House Resolution 11, Reject the Anti-Israel UN Resolution. The resolution passed by a vote of 342 to 80. Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) was a cosponsor of House Res. 11 and issued the following statement:

“The Administration made a grave mistake when they chose to abstain, and thus effectively support, the United Nations' anti-Israel resolution. This UN action made prospects for peace more difficult to achieve in the region. The United States policy in the past has been to veto any one-sided, anti-Israel efforts before the United Nations, and it is unfortunate that the current Administration chose to ignore this long-standing policy. My House colleagues and I acted today to stand with our ally and friend Israel and reaffirm a commitment which should never be in doubt.”
