Washington, D.C.
- Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) today released the following statement regarding the upcoming session of the Public Service Commission (PSC) to review the joint petition filed by telecommunications companies Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc (CCH) and FairPoint Communications, Inc. (FCI) for approval of the CCH plan to acquire FCI in New York:

“I’m encouraged to see that the New York State Public Service Commission has announced it is reviewing the joint application by Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc (CCH) and FairPoint Communications, Inc. (FCI) for approval of the CCH plan to acquire FCI in New York. As I stated today in a letter to the PSC, I believe the proposal should be approved with conditions to ensure broadband accessibility to residents and businesses of the 19th Congressional District.”
