Washington, D.C. - Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) today lauded the announcement that Stewart International Airport will be a recipient of grant funding through the Department of Transportation (DoT).

“Many people in the 19th District are served by Stewart International Airport, and these infrastructure improvements will not only account for much-needed updates to the airport, they will create an economic boon to the surrounding area,” Faso said. “Stewart is a critical hub for people in Upstate and I look forward to monitoring the progress of these impending projects.”

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced $230 million in Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grants for 104 airports across the United States, including Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, New York. This grant program funds airport infrastructure projects such as runways, taxiways, airport signage, lighting, and markings.
