Kinderhook, NY - Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) will travel to Israel to take part in the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF) Israel Seminar from August 7 to August 13. Faso will join a bipartisan delegation of Congress to learn firsthand the complex challenges facing the region.
The delegation will spend time visiting key strategic sites, including the security fence, the Gaza border, the Golan Heights on the Syrian border, and Israel’s border with Lebanon.
While in Israel, Rep. Faso will also meet with key leaders – both Israelis and Palestinians – to gain insight on core issues of security, diplomacy, agriculture, defense cooperation, and regional affairs. This includes meetings with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, a representative from the Palestinian Authority, and several other key leaders and thinkers in the region.
The trip is sponsored by and all expenses are paid by the American Israel Education Foundation. No tax dollars are used for this trip which has been approved by the House Ethics Committee.
