Kinderhook, NY - Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) today hosted a "Protecting House of Worship Safety and Security Preparedness Program" in Esopus in Ulster County.

Around 50 local faith leaders and members of the law enforcement community, including local and state police, were in attendance at the event which provided an overview of recent terrorist attacks and addressed any concerns related to security. Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albany Division, Vadim Thomas, led the program. Also in attendance was Ulster County Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum.

Congressman Faso said, "I am very pleased with the tremendous turnout we had at the security preparedness program in Esopus this morning. Acts of terror happen without warning, and the importance of being as prepared as possible in case of this type of an emergency cannot be overstated. I want to thank FBI special agent Vadim Thomas, Ulster County Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum, and all who participated in this event."
